Dermal fillers are facial fillers that eliminate wrinkles, restore volume, definition and improve skin tone and texture. As skin ages, we lose collagen, elasticity as well as moisture. As this happens we start to see lines and wrinkles, a reduction or loss of volume in the face and cheeks, deeper naso labial folds, the lines from your nose to the corner of your mouth and marrionette lines. Dermal fillers can also be used to sculpt and enhance the jaw line and chin area.
You will see results almost immediately after treatment where the dermal fillers replace and restore volume lost. Dermal fillers last between 6 - 12 months.
Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in our bodies, skin, bones, eyes, and joints, and therefore is a safe and natural product. The treatment has a plumping and filling effect due to its ability to attract and store water, it also acts as a moisturiser which enables the product to have excellent results.

The Procedure
A topical local anaesthetic can be used to ensure you are comfortable during the procedure and for treatment around the mouth/lip area then a dental injection can be used.
Treatment can be carried out on the face in many areas where there are lines and wrinkles (fine or deeper) The procedure can be carried out using injections (with very fine needles) or sometimes using a cannula, this will be discussed at your complimentary consultation.
Following treatment, you may have some redness, swelling and even slight bruising but this should resolve quickly. If you have a history of cold sores it is possible to have a recurrence following treatment and a course of antiviral medication can be given beforehand. Timescales
Over time as the filler is gradually broken down, the volume and plumpness lessen and another treatment can be carried out, otherwise, the areas where the filler was placed will just return to the norm prior to treatment.
Treatment is usually carried out on a 6 monthly basis but depends on your needs and wishes.
