Chemical skin peels have the ability to effectively treat ageing skin, acne, reduce skin damage, hyperpigmentation, large pores, dull and dry skin.
Many skin problems are associated with an excessive build-up of dead skin cells which can block the pores and make skin dry, dull and cause issues such as acne.
By treating the surface of the skin using chemical peels, the product will remove layers of skin. The depth of layers of skin removed will depend on your requirements and what peel is used.
We have many chemical peels available at Regency Aesthetics from superficial to medium depth and the most appropriate peel for you will be discussed at your complimentary consultation.
We are able to use peels both on the face and some areas of the body.
The Procedure
The face is cleansed prior to the peel being applied, and the time the peel is active depends on which peel is used, the treatment required, and the reaction of your skin to the peel.
The peel is either neutralised or removed with water and then a moisturising lotion or serum is applied. The face will be red/flushed following a skin peel and may become dry and flaky following the treatment. Your face must be left to peel naturally and just moisturise thoroughly. Factor 30 plus sun screen is advised at all times and is especially important following a skin peel.
Timescales
Many of the skin peels available at Regency Aesthetics have minimal downtime and although they are a medium depth peel, they do not cause the severe peeling or brown shedding of the skin associated with many chemical peels. BioRePeel is one of our favourite peels and is available for use on all skin types with excellent results.
We also have BioReHydra serum to buy which contains hyaluronic acid, ocean extracts, amino acids, vitamins and gaba, this can be used on a day to day basis and is often used post-peel at Regency Aesthetics.
Depending on your requirements a course of peels may be advised, especially if we are treating active acne.
